About Happy Parakeet

Happy Parakeet is a small, independent site for budgie and parakeet owners: name ideas, a name picker, a cage size check and short guides.

What it is not

It is not veterinary advice. It does not cover health, diet, medication, breeding or treatment. For any of those, see an avian vet.

Where the numbers come from

Cage figures come from the MSD Veterinary Manual, the Budgerigar Council of South Australia and MSPCA-Angell. Lifespan figures come from the Budgerigar Council of South Australia. Each guide names its source and the date we read it. See sources.

Who runs it

The site has no named authors and no reviews. Name lists are ideas, not claims about meanings. Spot a mistake? Tell us.
